Check for wear and tear
Observe whether the cutting edge of the tool becomes dull, whether there are gaps, and whether the texture of the wire drawing mold is worn or deformed.
For frequently used devices, it is recommended to conduct daily inspections.
Establish a tool and mold replacement cycle table based on the quantity and material of the processed workpieces.
For example, after processing a certain number of metal workpieces with high hardness, even if the cutting tools and molds appear to be usable, they should be replaced according to the predetermined cycle to ensure processing quality.
2 Cleaning and maintenance
For cutting tools, tool cleaners and brushes can be used to carefully clean the metal shavings and attachments on the cutting edge and surface.
For wire drawing molds, it is necessary to clean the impurities in the internal texture.
After cleaning, perform appropriate maintenance on the cutting tools and molds.
For cutting tools, a thin layer of specialized anti rust oil can be applied to prevent rusting.
For wire drawing molds, specialized mold maintenance agents can be used to maintain the lubrication and gloss of the mold, extending its service life.
